On Tuesday, December 3, 2024, a ceremony was held to give grains to those affected by the recent flooding in the Mayo Danay department (Yagoua). The ceremony took place on the square in front of the Yagoua town hall.
The National Conference of Major Superiors of Cameroon (NCMSC), through its President, Father Ferdinand OWONO NDIH, also Provincial Superior of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate (OMI), presented this aid to the two communes of Yagoua and Vélé on behalf of all consecrated persons in Cameroon, in the presence of the civil authorities of Mayo-Danay.
Through this heartfelt gesture, the consecrated persons of Cameroon are expressing their closeness to these victims of flood.
This aid of 400 bags of millet, although symbolic, is intended for 800 families.
Given the great destitution observed, we invite and encourage those who can do something in this regard not to hesitate. Putting a smile back on a face closed in by famine is an act that gives you a taste of the joy of sharing.
